Samson

This is Samson, a Black Lab and Rottweiler mix. He was rescued by my God Daughter Meagan and her Fiancee Josh. Samson and his litter mates were the result of yet another unaltered dog that got loose and got pregnant.
Samson came over to visit Mille and Buddy for a few hours and well, this is the result of the time spent together. Buddy was a little rough on him. This dog is the sweetest boy and so gentle, big, but gentle. I tried to get Meg to leave him here but she wouldn't have anything to do with that... darn!
When I was post processing this image I got thinking... my family is full of people that have rescued animals, 8 dogs and 1 hamster so far. Doesn't seem like much when there are millions of helpless animals out there that need homes but it's a start. It's a lot of work but it seems like all of us have gotten greater return from our efforts than we ever imagined.
Please, If you have the love to give, the time to share, the willingness to commit 100% of yourself to caring for one of natures children, please consider adopting an animal in need. It can be a lot of work but trust me you will never regret it.
Please visit the ASPCA website, your local chapter or local animal rescue groups for further information and find out if you have what it takes to adopt an animal at risk. And please if you have a cat or dog, be a responsible pet owner and have them spayed or neutered.
Cheers,
Rob

"Every year, between six and eight million dogs and cats enter U.S. shelters; some three to four million of these animals are euthanized because there are not enough homes for them."
Please be a responsible pet owner and have your pet spayed or neutered.
