Mille #28

Note: I have decided to just start numbering my images as the database of captures are getting too big to manage.

I read a passage on a website the other day that talked about how a dog rescued a person, instead of the other way around. When I read the words on the website it struck me how true that is, at least for me.

I have written about this some already but my first rescue dog in years, Mille, came to me at a time that I needed to be rescued. I was an emotional wreck and suffering from a bad bout of depression. From the very first moment that I was in the presence of that puppy the gray curtain that had been over me lifted, forever. I had a new purpose in life and knew that I had received a gift from what had to be a greater power that day.

There was a special bond between the two of us right from the start and it has gotten stronger every day sense. I can't explain it but I know there are people out there that know exactly how I feel. Right from the first day Mille arrived and up until this very day, she has "rescued" me and helped me through some pretty bad times.

I have been blessed twice sense that day. First with Max, and now Buddy. Each one arrived in my life right at the moment that I needed them most and has given me the gift that only they could give.. But my Mille, well she will always have a special place in my life and in my heart. She was the one that started me down the road to healing and continues to this day, "rescuing" me.

I love you Mille, with all my heart. Thank you for rescuing me. Taking care of you when you need it in the small way each day is the least I can do and honoring you with these special images within this blog is my small way of showing others just how much.

Cheers,

Rob
