Old Lady

Posted by Rob (Velveetaville, United States) on 5 May 2008 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

I have been staring into these eyes for almost 9 years now. Mille is getting older and it shows a little bit in her actions but no where does it show more than in her face. She is so very white on her muzzle where it used to be gray. The years have flown by since the first day she stepped into our lives that faithful December 9 years ago. It just hit me though, that the 2 of us have grown older together. I think she has done much better than me in aging. Besides the white in her face, she only has a little bit of arthritis and stiffness, me however, I can't raise one of my arms over my head. Even with all that white in her face, Mille still looks like a much younger dog, me... not so much.

So for a while longer, god willing, we will continue to grow older together. We will get a little slower and a little whiter but you know what? That's okay with us really, it's fine as long as we are growing older together.

Cheers,

Rob
